VC calls for an enduring and sustainable relationship between UI and the CBN.

The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ibadan, Professor Kayode O. Adebowale, mni, FAS, has called for an enduring and sustainable partnership between the University and the Central Bank of Nigeria.

He made the call today at the inauguration of the two committees to manage the collaborative Postgraduate Programmes at the CBN Centre of Excellence situated within the University campus.

Professor Adebowale noted that the University and the CBN are already in a partnership and assured that the university, with its structures, rules, and regulations, will ensure that the partnership works.

He promised that the academic activities of the Centre would be insulated from strikes and industrial actions, adding that its programmes would be uninterrupted

Lectures are expected to start in the first week of April 2023 in specialised postgraduate courses in Accounting, Banking and Finance, and Economics.

The two committees that were inaugurated are the Programme Centre Committee and the Centre Finance Committee. Membership was drawn from among academic staff and top functionaries of the CBN.
