Liverpool beat Chelsea again in a final, as City slip against west Ham and the relegation battle thickens in the Premier League plus actions across other Leagues.

Liverpool hunt for quadruple

The reds got another one against Chelsea FC in a final at Wembley in the FA Cup final. It was their first cup win in 16 years and they only required the spot kicks to seal that after the game ended goalless after 120 minutes.

It’s the second time Liverpool FC have beaten Chelsea in a final this season and Chelsea have lost three consecutive FA cup finals.

Tight at the relegation zone

With Norwich and Watford already relegated, the last spot is turning to a real battle between Leeds United, Everton FC and Burnley FC.

The trio failed to win over the weekend with Leeds drawing against Brighton and Hove Albion, Everton losing to Brentford FC and Burnley losing against Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane.

Everton are 16th on the table while Leeds United and Burnley are 17th and 18th with 35 and 34 points respectively though Burnley and Everton have a game in hand mid week.

Champions League spot

Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal FC are really in a neck to race for Champions League football next season.

Spurs needed a penalty to beat a sturdy Burnley side at White Hart Lane on Sunday, which Harry Kane converted.
Arsenal will be playing Newcastle United tonight at the Saint James’s Park and a win will take the Gunners above their North London rivals.

City slips against Hammers

It could have been worse for the defending Champions as Manchester City faced West Ham United at the London Stadium.
Jared Bowen, who is a nominee for the Premier League player of the season got a brace on the first half before the Cityzens scored twice in the second half through Jack Grealish and an own goal from Tomáš Souček levelled things up.

There was a late twist as Łukasz Fabiański saved a late penalty from Riyad Mahrez to earn a draw fro the home team.
Liverpool play Southampton on Tuesday and will hope to reduce the points at the top to one with a win at the Saint Mary’s Stadium.

Who gets the crown in the Serie A?

Inter and AC Milan are in one of the tightest races for the Scudetto as the two Milan sides are seperated by just two points.
Both sides won their games over the weekend with Inter recording an impressive win on the road against Cagliari and Milan beating Atalanta at the San Siro.
Whatever the case is, the last day of the league will be a very nervy one ac Milan will hope to unseat Inter and win their first title in eleven years.

Bundesliga ends Haaland and Lewandowksi leaving
It was the end of the Bundesliga season as Bayern Munich ended the 2021/22 campaign with their lowest points tally in 10 years despite being crowned champions of Germany yet again.
