Villa continue impressive home form

Aston Villa made it 11 straight home wins when they thrashed West Ham United 4-1 yesterday at Villa Park.

In a week that commemorates the one year anniversary of the appointment of coach, Unai Emery, the Villains were absolutely impressive.

Douglas Luiz grabbed a brace in the game with Ollie Watkins and Leon Bailley getting the others. Jarrod Bowen scored a deflected goal to half the deficit earlier but it was nothing more than a consolation.

A year ago, Villa were one point off the relegation zone. But Emery qualified them for the Europa Conference League last season and are now a point behind champions league qualifications.

In the Serie A, Juventus defeated AC Milan at the San Siro yesterday with Manuel Locatelli grabbing the winner.

Milan are now one point behind Inter at the top of the table.

Stephan El Shaarawy scored a 90th-minute winner against Monza to move up to seventh in Serie A and end Monza’s five-match unbeaten streak.

Monza were reduced to ten men after Danilo D’Ambrosio was sent off in the first half.

Roma Coach, Jose Mourinho was involved in another controversy as he was sent off for making crying gestures to the Monza bench.

In La Liga, Barcelona defeated Athletic Club 1-0 last night.

17-year-old Spanish forward, Fermin Lopez scored the goal after just 33 seconds of getting into the game.
The goal took Barca one point behind Real Madrid who they face on Sunday in the El Classico.

Earlier on Sunday, Girona defeated Almeria 5-2 to to go level with Real, who drew 1-1 at Sevilla on Saturday.
