“EVERYTHING I HAVE SEEN HERE IS GLOBAL STANDARD” Belgore Commends NIS

The newly deployed Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of interior, Dr, Shuaibu Belgore, has commended the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), on the various reforms and infrastructural development being carried out by the agency.

He made the assertion while paying a familiarization visit to the NIS
headquarters in Abuja. He said everything he saw was excellent and
global standard. He charged the Service not to retrogress from the flagship security agency that it has become, while assuring the CGI of his support.

The Perm Sec was taken round to see some of the commissioned and ongoing projects at the Headquarters, the Comptroller General of Nigeria Immigration Service, Muhammad Babandede, gave Belgore an overview of NIS and its activities. He stated the readiness of the Service to continue making remarkable impact in the Ministry and the country at large.

Some of the facilities inspected are the New Auditorium, Passport Data
Processing Centre, Migrant E-Registration Centre, Personnel Training And Resource Centre, Transit Camp for Senior Officers, Store and the
Technology Building.

Others are; Fuel Dump, junior staff quarters, mechanic workshop,
Interpol i-24/7 Centre, Command Control Centre and Contact Centre.
