Binani Air Begins Abuja-Kano-Yola Flights, Promises Safe, Reliable and Affordable Travel

Nigeria’s aviation industry has welcomed a new entrant as Binani Air officially launched commercial flight operations on the Abuja-Kano-Yola route, with passengers applauding the airline’s punctuality, affordable ticket fares and customer-friendly services during its maiden operations.
The inaugural flight, which departed Abuja on schedule, marked the beginning of what airline officials described as a long-awaited vision aimed at expanding domestic air travel options for Nigerians.
Speaking at the launch in Abuja, Binani Air’s Station Manager, Abubakar Aminu, said the airline was committed to delivering reliable services anchored on safety, consistency and customer satisfaction.
According to him, the airline witnessed encouraging passenger traffic on its first day, with many travellers completing their check-in process early ahead of departure.
“In aviation, time and consistency are everything. We are determined to maintain schedule integrity while providing excellent customer service and ensuring the safety of all passengers,” Aminu stated.
He assured passengers that the airline had assembled qualified manpower to support smooth operations, noting that Binani Air currently operates with a mix of expatriate and Nigerian pilots.
“We are fully prepared operationally and we have adequate personnel to support our services. There is no shortage of pilots on our side,” he said.
Also speaking, the airline’s Head of Crew, Isa Maina Yamka, described the commencement of operations as a major milestone achieved after years of planning and preparation.
“This is a dream come true for us at Binani Air. We have invested time and resources to ensure we launch successfully and safely,” Yamka said.
He stressed that safety remained the airline’s top priority, adding that all crew members and operational staff underwent rigorous professional training in line with aviation standards and regulatory requirements.
“Our entire operation is safety-driven. Every crew member has been properly trained and certified to deliver safe and efficient services,” he added.
Yamka further disclosed that the airline’s economy class fares currently begin from ₦90,000, while premium class tickets are priced around ₦200,000, depending on passenger preferences and travel schedules.
Passengers onboard the inaugural flight expressed satisfaction with the airline’s service delivery, citing smooth boarding procedures, timely departure and competitive fares.
Associate Professor Aisha Aminu of the Dangote Business School, Bayero University Kano, who travelled on the maiden Abuja-Kano flight, commended the airline for its professionalism and efficient operations.
“The entire process from check-in to boarding was seamless and timely. The airline demonstrated qualities expected from a serious operator,” she said.
She also described the ticket pricing as competitive, noting that sustaining quality service would help the airline attract and retain passengers in the highly competitive aviation market.
Another passenger, Jibrin Yusuf Umar, praised the coordination and comfort of the flight experience.
“There was no delay and everything went smoothly. The fare is affordable and the experience was enjoyable,” he stated.
Similarly, Ephraim Aboubakar described his first experience with Binani Air as pleasant and comfortable, expressing optimism about the airline’s future in the industry.
The airline’s Head of Communications, Ms. Arit Effanga, said the successful launch represented the fulfilment of a long-standing ambition to contribute to the growth of Nigeria’s aviation sector.
“This has been a vision nurtured for years and we are proud to finally bring it to life. Binani Air is committed to supporting the development of the aviation industry and providing reliable services to Nigerians,” she said.
