Information Minister Honoured for Supporting MSME Growth, Job Creation Initiatives

The Honourable Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, has been honoured with a Certificate of Commendation in recognition of his contributions to advancing Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) and job creation initiatives under the Renewed Hope Agenda.
The award was presented during the 2026 National MSME Awards and the public presentation of the Compendium of Activities under the Renewed Hope Agenda, held at the State House Conference Centre in Abuja on June 27, 2026.
The recognition highlights the minister’s support for programmes aimed at promoting entrepreneurship, empowering small businesses and creating employment opportunities as part of the Federal Government’s economic development agenda.
The presentation was witnessed by top government officials, including the representative of the Vice President and Deputy Chief of Staff to the President (Office of the Vice President), Senator Ibrahim Hassan Hadejia; Director-General of the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN), Charles Odii; Director-General of the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), Ali Muhammad Ali; Director-General of the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC), Charles Ebuebu; Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Press Council (NPC), Dr. Dili Ezughah; Director-General of the Voice of Nigeria (VON), Jibrin Baba Ndace; Director-General of the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN), Dr. Mohammed Bulama; Senior Special Assistant to the President on MSMEs and Job Creation, Temitola Adekunle-Johnson, alongside other dignitaries.
The event celebrated individuals and institutions that have made significant contributions to the growth of Nigeria’s MSME sector and the implementation of initiatives designed to stimulate economic growth, foster innovation and expand employment opportunities under the Renewed Hope Agenda.
