We Are Not Recruiting, Says Nigeria’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Abuja has issued a statement disassociating itself from a fraudulent online recruitment exercise falsely bearing the signature of the Honourable Minister of Foreign Affairs.

In a statement made available to News Dot Africa by Kimiebi Imomotimi Ebienfa,
Spokesperson, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Abuja on Wednesday 23rd April, 2025,the Ministry warns the public against engaging with individuals or entities promoting these fraudulent schemes.

He stressed that recruitment into the Nigerian Foreign Service is exclusively conducted by the Federal Civil Service Commission (FCSC).

He reiterates that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs does not carry out direct recruitment and does not request or accept payments for job applications or appointments.

“The Ministry unequivocally disassociates itself from this misleading and malicious advertisement and urges the general public to disregard such announcements and refrain from engaging with individuals or entities promoting these fraudulent schemes.”, The Spokesperson said.

The Ministry advises the public to remain cautious and vigilant against employment-related fraud, emphasizing its commitment to transparency and integrity in all its processes.
