TCN Schedules Annual Maintenance at McPherson Transmission Substation

The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN), Osogbo Region, has announced a scheduled annual maintenance exercise at the McPherson 132/33kV Transmission Substation in Ogun State.

According to a statement issued on Thursday by TCN’s General Manager, Public Affairs, Ndidi Mbah, the maintenance will take place on Thursday, May 14, 2026, between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.

The company explained that the exercise will involve preventive routine checks on the 40MVA 132/33kV power transformer at the substation to ensure continued optimal performance and improve system reliability.

As a result of the planned maintenance, the Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC) will temporarily be unable to supply electricity to customers in McPherson, University, and Ogunmakin areas during the maintenance window.

TCN appealed to affected consumers for understanding, while apologising for any inconvenience the temporary power interruption may cause.
