Strength Way Charity Foundation Launches in Abuja, Honours Late Chief and Chief Mrs. DCA Udo

The Strength Way Charity Foundation (SWCF) has been formally launched in Abuja with a renewed commitment to supporting vulnerable members of society and promoting charitable interventions for the poor and disadvantaged.

The maiden launching and merit award ceremony of the foundation, held on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at the Jumai Aduda Hall, Court Road, opposite the Abattoir, Karu, Abuja, also honoured the memory of the late Chief and Chief Mrs. DCA Udo.

The event, held under the distinguished chairmanship of Chief Eze Osita (Nkenkenyi), brought together traditional rulers, government officials, business leaders, professionals, philanthropists, the media and other stakeholders who identified with the foundation’s humanitarian objectives.

Chief John Akuse Udo served as the Father of the Day, while Chief S.N. Essienekak was Vice Chairman of the occasion.

Among the notable personalities associated with the event were Hon. Sesoo Ikpagher Gboko, Member of the House of Representatives representing Jechira Constituency, Benue State; Hon. Chief Joshua Yohanna Dangiwa, CEO of Jojo Classic Foundation; Dr. Chris Nzeduru; Engr. Prof. Gabriel Akpen, FNSE; Engr. Jonathan Terkimbi Kabough, FNSE; and Barr. Alex E. Edim.

Other dignitaries included Mrs. Awuese Patricia Goja, Managing Director/CEO of Novus Microfinance Bank; Barr. J.T. Damsa; Arc. Moses Terwase Akuse, Sa’karuyi of Karu, Abuja; and HRH Pharmacist Dr. Luka Baba Panya, Esu of Karu, Nasarawa State.

The ceremony also featured merit awards in recognition of individuals who have contributed to community development, humanitarian causes and other forms of social service.

Speaking at the event, stakeholders commended the establishment of the Strength Way Charity Foundation, stressing the importance of private and community-driven initiatives in complementing government efforts to address poverty and improve the welfare of vulnerable people.

They urged the foundation to remain focused on its humanitarian mandate and to develop sustainable programmes capable of making a measurable difference in the lives of the poor, widows, orphans, persons with disabilities and other disadvantaged groups.

The launch marked a significant step in the foundation’s efforts to build a platform through which individuals, organisations and corporate bodies can contribute towards alleviating poverty and strengthening communities.

The Strength Way Charity Foundation is expected to deepen its humanitarian activities through partnerships, advocacy, empowerment programmes and charitable interventions aimed at giving hope and opportunities to people in need.
