The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has announced Thursday, July 9, 2026, as the official passing-out date for the 2025 Batch ‘B’ Stream One Corps Members nationwide.

According to a statement issued by the NYSC Director of Information and Public Relations, Caroline Embu, preparations for the exercise commenced on June 23, 2026, with a series of activities designed to facilitate the smooth completion of national service by eligible corps members.

The activities include Job Advisory and Counselling (JAC) programmes organised by the NYSC and partner agencies, registration and clearance of corps members by Local Government Inspectors (LGIs), as well as the signing of final clearance documents by Zonal Inspectors.

The scheme stated that the passing-out exercise would be conducted on a low-key basis across the country, with Certificates of National Service to be issued only to corps members who have satisfactorily fulfilled all service requirements.

Director-General of the NYSC, Brigadier General Olakunle Nafiu, congratulated the outgoing corps members and wished them a successful winding-up and passing-out exercise.

He urged them to uphold the core values of the NYSC in their future endeavours and relationships, stressing the importance of remaining worthy ambassadors of the scheme after completing their national service.

The passing-out ceremony marks the successful completion of the mandatory one-year national service programme and the transition of thousands of young graduates into the next phase of their professional and personal lives.
