NMMAF Convenes Emergency Board Meeting Over Governance, Compliance Issues

The National Sports Commission has announced that the Nigeria Mixed Martial Arts Federation (NMMAF) will hold a compulsory emergency board meeting to address pressing administrative and operational matters affecting the federation.
According to a statement issued by the Secretary General of the federation, Mr. Ademola Johnson, the physical meeting is scheduled for Saturday, May 23, 2026, at the Board Room of the National Institute for Sports, National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos.
The statement noted that the emergency session was convened to deliberate on urgent issues bordering on governance, federation administration, operational activities, and the overall status of the body.
Among key items listed on the proposed agenda are governance and administrative matters, IMMAF status and compliance concerns, conflict of interest issues, secretariat operations and official procedures, as well as technical and event sanctioning matters.
Other agenda items include the President’s opening remarks, confirmation of the emergency meeting by the Secretary-General, resolutions and communiqué, and closing remarks.
The federation stressed that attendance by all board members is compulsory due to the sensitive and urgent nature of the discussions, adding that all resolutions reached during the meeting would be binding on the federation.
