The Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA) has expressed readiness to strengthen collaboration with the Nigerian-Indonesian Chamber of Commerce & Industry (NICCI) to expand trade, investment and private-sector partnerships between Nigeria and Indonesia.

The commitment was made when the President of NICCI, Mr. Ishmael Balogun, led a delegation on a courtesy visit to NACCIMA’s Abuja Corporate Office on Thursday, August 6, 2026.

Receiving the delegation, the National President of NACCIMA, Engr. (Dr.) Jani Ibrahim, FNSE, FAEng, mni, OON, welcomed the initiative, stressing the importance of creating more opportunities for Nigerian businesses seeking access to the Indonesian market and attracting Indonesian investments into Nigeria.

A major focus of the meeting was the proposed 5th Nigerian-Indonesian Investment and Trade Forum (NIITF) 2026, scheduled for October 20–21 in Jakarta, under the theme: “Building Continents, Building Prosperity: Solidifying Nigerian-Indonesian Economic Partnership for Strategic Alliances and Shared Growth.”

Balogun formally invited NACCIMA to partner with NICCI on the forum, which is designed to promote business-to-business engagements, investment opportunities, market access and stronger commercial relationships between enterprises in both countries.

The NICCI delegation also presented what it described as a comprehensive “3-in-1” business package for Nigerian participants, incorporating the Trade Expo Indonesia, scheduled for October 14–18; a rest day on October 19; the NIITF on October 20–21 in Jakarta; and a business tourism programme in Bali from October 22–25.

According to the delegation, the integrated programme would provide Nigerian participants with opportunities for international business networking, investment promotion, market exploration and cultural exchange, while strengthening Nigeria-Indonesia economic relations.

The discussions further explored ways of enabling NACCIMA members to access Indonesia’s sovereign investment opportunities, attract strategic investments into Nigeria and facilitate direct B2B engagements between Indonesian investors and Nigerian enterprises.

Engr. Jani Ibrahim commended NICCI for its efforts to promote economic cooperation between Nigeria and Indonesia, assuring the chamber of NACCIMA’s willingness to collaborate with credible strategic partners whose initiatives create new opportunities for Nigerian exporters, investors and businesses.

NACCIMA subsequently encouraged its members and the wider Nigerian business community to explore the opportunities presented by the NIITF 2026, Trade Expo Indonesia and the Bali business tourism programme as platforms for expanding international business networks and developing new commercial partnerships.

Further details on NACCIMA’s participation and opportunities for members are expected to be released in due course.
