Matawalle made the remarks on Saturday during a condolence visit to Senator Nasiha in Gusau following the death of one of his wives, Hajiya Hauwa’u Kulu Nasiha, who reportedly passed away in India on Saturday.
The minister said he travelled to Zamfara State to personally sympathise with the bereaved family, describing the death as shocking and deeply painful.
“Senator Nasiha is a personal friend and a committed party stalwart. We worked closely together when I served as Governor and he as Deputy Governor. We shared many experiences in the service of the people of Zamfara,” Matawalle said.
