Barrister Winnie Enun Eka-Williams, daughter of the Cross River State Commissioner for Power and Renewable Energy, Prince Eka Williams, has been officially called to the Nigerian Bar, marking the beginning of her legal career as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria.
She was among the 6,010 newly qualified lawyers admitted to the Nigerian Bar during the July 2026 Call to Bar ceremonies held from July 7 to 10 at the Body of Benchers Complex, Jabi, Abuja, after successfully completing the academic and professional requirements for legal practice in Nigeria.
The achievement was celebrated by her parents, Prince and Mrs. Eka Williams, family members, friends and well-wishers, especially those Cross River State, who described the milestone as a reflection of her hard work, resilience commitment to excellence and good parental guidance.
A reception organised in her honour drew several notable personalities, including Victor Ndoma-Egba, the member representing Ikom/Boki Federal Constituency, Hon. Victor Abang (Mature), Hon. Njang Ndoma, the Mayor of Ikom and other dignitaries.
An alumna of Baze University, Abuja, Barrister Eka-Williams earned a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree and has built a reputation beyond the legal profession as a writer, educator and advocate for personal development.
She is the founder of Crossing the Bridge, a book club dedicated to promoting meaningful conversations through literature, and also hosts Light in Law, a YouTube series where she simplifies legal concepts for students and aspiring lawyers.

A published author, she has written Home, her second book, and regularly shares perspectives on law, literature and personal growth through her social media platforms.
Her admission to the Nigerian Bar is widely seen as the start of a promising legal career, with family, friends and colleagues expressing confidence that she will distinguish herself through professionalism, integrity and service to society.
