The Nigerian Navy has said that those collecting money from the public for recruitment into the Nigerian Navy are fraudsters.
A press release signed by the Naval spokes person, Commodore Suleiman Dahun on Friday, September 25, stated that individuals and organisations collecting money from Innocent Nigerians claiming to help them join the Nigerian Navy, are fraudsters.
The statement made it clear that it has not delegated nor hired out the process of recruitment into the Nigerian Navy.
“For avoidance of doubt, the Nigerian Navy is not charging any money for all its enlistment and recruitment processes. “Furthermore, it has not delegated or directed anyone/organization to collect money on its behalf for any enlistment/recruitment exercises”, he said.
The Nigerian Navy therefore urged members of the public to desist from patronising the fraudsters who are all out to syphon money for their selfish agenda and self aggrandisement.
