Cross River Governor to Hold Special Town Hall Meeting in Abuja to Mark Third Anniversary

The Governor of Cross River State, Bassey Edet Otu, will on Friday, May 29, 2026, host a Special Town Hall Meeting for Abuja residents, as part of activities commemorating his third year in office.

The event, approved by the governor, is expected to bring together key stakeholders, investors, government officials, and development partners to review the administration’s achievements under the “Season of Sweetness Part 1” agenda.

According to a notice signed by the Commissioner for Information, Dr. Erasmus Ekpang, the town hall meeting will take place at the Ladi Kwali Hall of Abuja Continental Hotel, formerly known as Sheraton Hotel, by 11:00 a.m.

The notice directed several commissioners and senior government officials to present scorecards of their ministries and agencies during the session. Those scheduled to make presentations include the Commissioners for Works and Infrastructure, Education, Finance, Agriculture and Irrigation Services, Transportation, Power and Renewable Energy, Health, Wealth Creation, and Women Affairs.

Also expected to deliver a wrap-up presentation on other Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) is the Vice Chairman of the State Planning Commission.

The government stated that each presentation should not exceed 20 minutes, stressing that the forum would provide an opportunity to reflect on the administration’s journey and engage stakeholders on the state’s development trajectory.

The notice concluded with appreciation to participants and prayers for continued progress for the state.
