Aviation Ministry Inaugurates Delivery Task Team on implementation of Presidential priorities and Ministerial Deliverables

In an effort to fulfil the Renewed Hope Agenda of the present administration, the Ministry of Aviation and Aerospace Development has inaugurated a Ministerial Delivery Task Team for the Ministry and its agencies on the implementation of the Ministerial Mandate. The event took place recently at CBN International Institute, Maitama. Abuja.
Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Aviation and Aerospace Development Dr. Emmanuel Meribole, in his keynote address, stated that the Ministerial Mandate is a key component of Government’s policy thrust that showcases the performances of all Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) on implementation of the Eight Priority Areas of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Administration. The priority Areas are as follows:
i. Food Security
ii. Economic Growth and Job Creation
iii. Ending Poverty
iv. Access to Capital
v. Inclusivity; Drawing on all skills base
vi. Security
vii. Fairness and Rule of Law and
viii. Fighting Corruption.
He reiterated that the priorities were carefully designed to contribute towards achieving good governance in order to improve the quality of lives of citizens and to set Nigeria on the path of prosperity.
He informed the participants that the implementation of the priorities are being tracked by the Central Delivery Coordination Unit (CDCU) under the direct supervision of the Special Adviser to the President on Policy and Coordination.
Meribole, charged the Delivery Task Team to work assiduously towards ensuring that accurate data/information is imputed on the Ministerial Mandate Reporting Templates as well as timely submission of the Ministries’ report to Central Delivery Coordination Unit (CDCU).
Director Planning, Research and Statistics (PRS), Ibrahim Lawan during his welcome address stated that the workshop was a fall-out from the retreat organised by the Special Adviser to the President on Policy and Coordination as part of the effort to engaged the Directors of Planning, Research and Statistics and the Delivery Desk Officer of Federal Ministries to strategized and agree on modalities to track implementation of Ministerial Deliverables in line with the Eight Priorities Areas of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration.
Lawan said the objective of the workshop was to introduced the roles of the Management staff in Ministries, Departments and Agencies and Delivery Task Desk Officers to have constant meeting with stakeholders and feedback to the secretariat of the Ministry’s delivery task team.
Special Adviser to the President on Policy and Coordination and head of Central Delivery Coordination Unit (CDCU), Hadiza Bala Usman represented by Esege Ebei Esege, appreciated the Minister, Permanent Secretary and management of Ministry for being one of the first Ministry to be in tune with the vision of Mr President. He adding that the Permanent Secretary should continue to support the team with all necessary tool.
