PS Olubunmi Urges Teamwork to Drive Humanitarian Impact

The Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction has called on its management staff to strengthen teamwork in order to enhance service delivery to vulnerable Nigerians.
The Permanent Secretary, Mr. Olubunmi Olusanya, made the call during a management meeting held on April 30, 2026, in Abuja. He emphasized the importance of unity and collaboration in achieving the ministry’s mandate of improving the lives of the less privileged.
Olusanya, while welcoming newly posted directors, described the ministry as a family-oriented environment where members are expected to prioritize collective goals and national service. He noted that staff must give their best to support the minister in delivering on the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The Permanent Secretary explained that the meeting was convened to review ongoing activities within the ministry and identify areas for improvement. He also urged directors to hold regular departmental meetings and build stronger bonds to ensure smooth operations.

He commended the Director of Poverty Reduction, Mrs. Ruth M. Audu-Nunghe, who attended her final management meeting ahead of retirement, for her dedication and contributions to national development. He wished her a fulfilling retirement.

In her remarks, Mrs. Audu-Nunghe expressed gratitude to God and the Federal Government for the opportunity to serve, appreciating her colleagues for their cooperation and support throughout her career.
