CONCENTRATION Part 3: Power in the Domain of Concentration

Each stage of concentration has its own particular power.
1st stage, which is Attention, when perfected leads to USEFULNESS.

2ND stage, which is Contemplation, when perfected leads to SKILL, ABILITY, TALENT.

3rd stage, which is Abstraction, when perfected leads to ORIGINALITY and GENIUS.

4th stage, which is Activity in Repose, when perfected leads to MASTERY and POWER, and makes out of men LEADERS and TEACHERS (gurus, masters) of fellow men.

When men live transgenerational with massive impacts and wilful (not coercive) followership, they touched and lived at stage 4 of concentration. In my lifetime and country in spite of her challenges, many men are living that height of life, that even if they die for example, 200+ years after or till Christ come, men and history will be talking about their impacts and fame.

Bob Marley, Michael Jackson, Nelson Mandela, Martin Luther King Jnr, Mother Theresa, Abraham Lincoln, George Washington, JFK, etc., some didn’t hold political office [some did], but will still be mentioned next 100 years. Why? They are leaders. This kind distinguishes you. You don’t accord yourself “distinguished” because you’re rich or collect big money, it’s leadership or mastership that distinguishes you. Many are living like that: larger than live humbly.

Politics, Management and Ministerial certifications are good but don’t make you a leader. Please, a leader doesn’t mean a president, a governor, a manger, HOD or MD, a pastor, an imam or an activist though these positions, posts or status as they’re fondly called can provide a platform [yes, a platform] for a leader-material-inside in the occupant of the position to dispense [serve] leadership. Leadership is served to the led [followers].

You’re not a teacher [master] because you teach in ABC Primary School Port Harcourt, or a tutor in PQR Secondary Abuja or a lecturer in University of XYZ Lagos. You’re not these perse. When you meet men, who have calls to simplify complex reality into a,b,c, you understand 3 things:
(1) you’re not yet a teacher you claim and
(2) you didn’t understand what a teacher is
(3) you don’t know that gurus or masters exist at the 4th realm of concentration.

If you had met Albert Einstein on his simplification of relativity theory, Nelson in Physics, Isaac Newton, Amagh Nduka on Physical Mathematics, UBCO Ejike on PDE, Sigmud Freud on Sociology, on and on, you would have understood me. When you meet John C Maxwell, Brian Tracy, Tony Robbins, Mike Ihezuo, etc., you’ll then re-evaluate your understanding of a teacher.

Final Take Home on Concentration.

Decision, energy, alertness, deliberation, judgment and gravity accompany the habit of concentration. Get all these into your kit to begin concentrating. Note that vigorous mental training which its cultivation involves, leads through ever increasing productivity, usefulness and success in career and business.
