9th Edition of the Nigeria Integrity Film Awards holds in Abuja

As part of its advocacy in promoting core integrity values and positive messaging through film, HomeVida is to hold the 9th edition of its annual Nigeria Integrity Film Awards.

According to a release made available to our correspondent on Wednesday, the event will hold on the 6th of December in Abuja.

HomeVida has over the years focused on providing incentives to young scriptwriters and filmmakers which has birthed the production of 24 Homevida Short Films.

The award event is expected to also feature the screening of a documentary that highlights past award winners and the impact of Homevida on their professional lives and Nollywood Industry.

Homevida is a platform that provides incentives for young scriptwriters and filmmakers to promote integrity values using film while influencing the wider public and also influence the types of film produced in Nollywood.

NewsdotAfrica gathered that the 2018 award has however expanded scope to include other forms of art.

The group launched an Internet for all Campaign which birthed the #internet4all competition, where it put out a call for skits and spoken word videos which highlights the economic and socio- cultural benefits of the internet. The three winning videos will be awarded cash prizes of ₦250,000 ₦150,000 and ₦100,000 respectively at the Award Night.
