KATSINA CENTRAL MARKET MARKET GUTTED BY FIRE, TRADERS COUNTING LOSSES

KATSINA State Central Market, in Katsina town today Monday was gutted by fire and traders in the market counting their losses.

Investigations by our correspondent in Katsina revealed that the fire started at about 7:30am, from inside grand nut oil selling shops that houses palm oil, and food stuffs close to the main gate.

According to an official of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corp who pleaded animosity, the cause of the fire is caused by electricity though not official report, but personnel will certainly ascertained.

As at the time of filing this report, men of both the State and the Federal Fire Service stations were seen battling to put out the fire.

The Governor of Katsina State H. E. Aminu Bello Masari has since visited the market.
