Team Nigeria has maintained its impressive form at the ongoing Billie Jean King Cup Africa Group III Qualifiers in Botswana, advancing to the second round with a perfect record after winning all three of its group-stage matches.

The Nigerian women’s team reinforced its status as one of the tournament favourites by finishing top of its group with successive victories over Burundi, Namibia, and Madagascar.

Nigeria opened its campaign with a hard-fought 2-1 win against Burundi before producing dominant 3-0 victories over Namibia and Madagascar to complete an unbeaten group-stage run.

In the final group match against Madagascar, Success Ogunjobi gave Nigeria the perfect start by claiming the opening singles rubber with a composed performance. Barakat Oyinlomo Quadre then sealed the tie in the second singles match, putting the result beyond doubt before teaming up with Khadijat Mohammed to complete a commanding 3-0 sweep in the doubles.
