Tinubu’s Administration Promotes National Unity Beyond Ethinic and Religious Divides Through Inclusive Leadership

The Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator George Akume, CON, has reaffirmed that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu remains committed to fostering national unity through inclusive leadership that gives every Nigerian a sense of belonging, regardless of ethnic or religious background. He said the Renewed Hope Administration continues to place merit, competence and patriotism at the centre of governance.
Speaking during a meeting with the leadership of the Nigerian Fulani Community Support Group (NFCSG) in Abuja, Senator Akume noted that President Tinubu has consistently demonstrated fairness and openness in public service. He recalled that the President’s record of accommodating qualified Nigerians from different parts of the country reflects his long-standing belief in national integration and equal opportunity.
The SGF stated that the Federal Government would continue to collaborate with organisations that promote peace, unity and sustainable development. According to him, Nigeria’s diversity should serve as a source of strength rather than division, urging citizens to reject actions capable of undermining the country’s stability and collective progress.
Responding to requests presented by the delegation, Senator Akume assured the group that their submissions would receive careful consideration in line with the administration’s commitment to responsive governance. He also encouraged Nigerians to uphold peace and support efforts toward a transparent, peaceful and credible democratic process in 2027.
Earlier, the National Coordinator of the Nigerian Fulani Community Support Group, Dr. Aliyu Iliyasu Ardido, applauded President Tinubu for establishing the Federal Ministry of Livestock Development. He described the initiative as a strategic intervention that would modernise livestock production, expand employment opportunities and strengthen the contribution of the livestock sector to the national economy.
Dr. Ardido also reaffirmed the group’s support for the Renewed Hope Agenda, pledging continued sensitisation of Fulani communities on peaceful coexistence, lawful conduct and active participation in nation-building. He appealed for government support to enhance the group’s grassroots activities through improved logistics, office facilities and operational resources.
The meeting ended with a renewed commitment by both the Federal Government and the NFCSG to deepen cooperation in promoting national unity, peace, security and inclusive development. Both parties expressed confidence that sustained collaboration would contribute significantly to building a stronger, more prosperous and united Nigeria.
