NSCDC arrests 2 suspects convey conveying truck laden with vandalized Rail Track Slippers

In line with the NSCDC Commandant General’s directive on zero tolerance towards the nefarious activities of vandals destroying railway infrastructure and other government’s critical national assets; the CG’s Special Intelligence Squad (CG’s SIS) acting on credible intelligence intercepted some unscrupulous and disgruntled elements who conspired and vandalized Rail tracks around Southern Kaduna at Kanfancha axis, in Jama’a LGA of the State.
The suspected vandals stormed the location with an empty truck to load the already vandalized rail track iron concealed inside a sugarcane plot around Kwoi- Kagarko- Tafa-Jere road in Kaduna State.
With the prompt intervention of the CG’s SIS, they ran out of luck as they were swooped on after the saboteurs were trailed to a location where they were eventually intercepted and rounded up.
Two suspects, Rachard Istifanus (M) 31, who provided escort for the vandals and Usman Yusuf (M) 44, who drove the truck were arrested immediately.
The Intelligence Operatives also impounded an unmarked container body long trailer truck containing and laden with vandalized rail track and slippers.
While on the operation a Suspect named Peter from Kanfancha who according to information gathered was said to be the owner of the vandalized materials is currently at large.
Meanwhile, the Commandant General has ordered full-scale investigations into the incident while the 2 suspects have been taken into custody for further investigation after which they would be appropriately charged to Court.
