GOV. Sule Presides Over Review Meeting on President Tinubu’s Visit

The Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps Nasarawa State Command, Comdt. Muhammed Kabiru Ingawa joined His Excellency, *Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule, Governor of Nasarawa State, in an expanded Executive Council/Committee meeting to review the outcomes and success of the one-day working visit of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to Lafia.

Governor Abdullahi A. Sule of Nasarawa State presided over a review meeting with his Executive Council and Committee members to assess the success of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s recent one-day working visit to Lafia. The meeting, held on June 26, 2025, was attended by Commandant Muhammed Kabiru Ingawa of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Nasarawa State Command.

During his visit, President Tinubu commended Governor Sule for his dedication to ensuring environmental protection and value addition by mining firms operating in the state. The President also welcomed the opening of Nigeria’s largest lithium ore processing plant in Lafia, Nasarawa State, and emphasized the importance of environmental protection, community involvement, and corporate social responsibility for the Chinese companies operating the plant.

The plant, built by Avatar, a Chinese company, has a production capacity of 4,000 metric tons per day. Canmax Technologies, another Chinese firm, plans to invest $200 million in another lithium processing facility in Nasarawa State.

President Tinubu urged the Chinese companies to prioritize environmental protection, community engagement, and corporate social responsibility initiatives as integral parts of their operations.

President expressed support for the companies’ success and expansion, emphasizing Nigeria’s readiness for business and its role as a favorable investment destination in Africa.

In his statement, President Tinubu said, “Nigeria is on a path of recovery and renewal. What we are building is not just infrastructure. We are building belief.” He urged state governors to deliver good governance, emphasizing that if each state follows the path of delivering good governance, Nigeria will not just recover but rise.
