Catholic Priest Celebrates Platinum Birthday, Seeks Support for Legacy Project at Ogep Osokom Parish

Emeritus Professor Fr. Kris J. N. Owan, a Catholic priest, mark a significant milestone as clocked 75th birthday, also known as Platinum Birthday. The occasion which was commemorated with family, friends, well-wishers, and parishioners of OGEP OSOKOM parish to celebrate on May 31, 2025, coincided with the Feast of the Visitation of Our Lady the BVM.

Fr. Owan has opted for a low-key celebration, citing personal reasons and the upcoming Golden Jubilee of his Priestly Ordination on December 7, 2025. Instead of material gifts, he requested spiritual contributions, such as Holy Masses, Marian Rosaries, and Thank You Rosaries.

Fr. Owan’s has specifically requested that his dream project is to acquire a stationary car and other accessories for the OGEP OSOKOM parish by September 2025. He said vehicle will remain with the parish even after his retirement from priestly pastoral work next year.

Fr. Owan disclosed that he has been facing challenges with a poor-quality car, which has caused physical and psychological distress.
