Bekwarra/Obudu/Obanliku Federal Constituency gets a new face

The Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Mr Peter Akpanke has won the Bekwarra/Obudu/Obanliku Federal Constituency Election in Cross River State.

Akpanke emerged as the winner of the February 25, 2023 National Assembly election after being declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Sunday.

He edges his closest rival, Legor Idagbo of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who is a two-term and seating House of Representatives Member of the Bekwarra/Obudu/Obanliku Federal Constituency.

He did this by raking a total of 36,576 votes and will represent the people of Obudu/Obanliku/Bekwarra Federal Constituency in the National Assembly in the next 4 years. Meanwhile, Legor Idagbo scored 25,819, which ends his stay at the National Assembly.
