Bangladesh High Commissioner Meets NACCIMA President, Says Partnership will promote commercial links

The Bangladesh High Commissioner in Nigeria, HE, MD Shameem Ahsan, visited the President of Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines, and Agriculture (NACCIMA),
Hajiya Saratu Iya Aliya on 11 September, 2020, to discuss about signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), between The Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI), and the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines, and Agriculture (NACCIMA).

In a media report, H.E. Shameem stated that the meeting which discussed establishing a formal institutional partnership to promote trade and commercial links between Bangladesh and Nigeria, was fruitful.

“Both sides noted that huge potentials of strengthening trade and economic relations remain unexplored”, He further said.

NACCIMA President who welcomed the idea, agreed to come up with a couple of convenient dates to have a webinar among FBCCI, NACCIMA and the High Commission of Bangladesh to Nigeria as proposed by FBCCI.

The meeting was also attended by Mr. Jani Ibrahim, Vice-President of Lubcon Group and Mr. Usman Abbas Muazu, Director of Abuja Liaison Office (NACCIMA), Mr. Bidosh Chandra Barman, First Secretary of the Bangladesh Mission.
