Amb Ekpa To Speak As The 8th Nigeria Annual Transport Lecture Holds On May 21…

As the 8th edition of the Nigeria Annual Transport Lecture holds on Friday, May 21, 2021 at the Sheraton hotel, Ikeja, Lagos, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Women Affairs, Ambassador Mrs Anthonia Ekpa (PhD), will be among the speakers. Mrs Ekpa was the Director of Mass Transit Administration and Operations in Federal Ministry of Transportation before her Promotion to the position of Permanent Secretary in the Federal Civil Service.

This was revealed today by the Editor of Transport Day newspaper (organizers of the event), Mr. Frank Kintum, assuring that all covid-19 protocols have been put in place to ensure a hitch-free and safe event.

The Editor assured that the recent pronouncements by the federal government does not affect the event, as it is being held in an hotel (hotels are not affected by the pronouncement) and the hotel adheres to strict international safety standards, and Covid-19 protocols and guidelines.

He added that “we are assuring all stakeholders that the event scheduled for Friday, May 21, 2021, will go ahead as planned as the recent pronouncement by government does not in any way affect the event.

“As earlier announced, we have also made arrangements to stream the event live via the Transport Day newspaper Page on FaceBook, even as Speakers for the event have already been confirmed.”

The Nigeria Annual Transport Lecture has achieved seven previous editions, and this year, prominent personalities in the Transport sector have confirmed attendance, just as some organisations are also billed to showcase their products and services.

Prominent among the Speakers this year are the Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corp (FRSC), Dr, Boboye Oyeyemi; Director General, National Automotive Design and Development Council (NADDC), Jelani Aliyu; National President of the Association of Nigeria Lcensed Customs Agents (ANLCA), Tony Iju Nwabunike, among others.
