Afreximbank Annual Meetings 2025 Kicks Off in Abuja, Nigeria

The 32nd Afreximbank Annual Meetings (AAM2025), officially commenced in Abuja, Nigeria, on June 25, 2025. The event, themed “Building the Future on Decades of Resilience,” brings together over 6,000 delegates, including heads of state, policymakers, business leaders, and academics from Africa, the Caribbean, and beyond.
Notable attendees include Nigeria’s Minister of Finance, Mr. Wale Edun, Afreximbank President, Professor Benedict Oramah, and Deputy Chairperson of the African Union Commission, H.E. Ambassador Selma Malika Haddadi and Prince Siita Sofo Hissan President, AfCFTA Young Entrepreneurs Federation (AfYEF), Represented.
The meetings will focus on driving discussions on trade financing, economic growth, and investment opportunities across Africa.
The event aims to reinforce Nigeria’s position as a hub for economic transformation and strengthen Africa’s financial sector.
According to the Afreximbank President, Professor Benedict Oramah, “The Government of Nigeria has been a steadfast partner and a strong backbone of the Bank. It has consistently responded positively to capital calls, injecting significant equity into the Bank even when the economic environment seemed challenging.”
Also speaking, Nigeria’s Minister of Finance, Mr. Wale Edun noted that, “Nigeria is honoured to host the 2025 Afreximbank Annual Meetings, which will serve as a critical platform to drive discussions on trade financing, economic growth, and investment opportunities across Africa.”
The Afreximbank Annual Meetings 2025 in Abuja is expected to foster Economic Growth, by driving discussions on trade financing and investment opportunities;
Strengthen Africa’s Financial Sector, through high-level policy discussions and networking sessions; Promote Investment, by showcasing Nigeria as a hub for economic transformation and investment opportunities.
