The Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) has announced the rescheduling of the Agricultural Mechanisation for Export-Quality Products in Africa (AGROMEQA Expo 2026), moving the event from its initial June dates to November 15–16, 2026.
In a statement signed by Olayemi John-Mensah, ACCI Media & Strategy Officer on Tuesday, the Chamber said the decision was reached in collaboration with the Agricultural Trade Group and JMT Plus Farms and Agro-Allied following extensive consultations with stakeholders and partners.
The expo, which was originally scheduled to hold from June 10 to 12, 2026, will now take place at the Prince Adetokunbo Kayode, SAN Trade and Convention Centre, Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Abuja.
According to the organisers, the rescheduling is aimed at enabling broader participation and deeper engagement by key players across the agricultural and agribusiness value chain, both within Nigeria and internationally.
They noted that the additional preparation period would create greater opportunities for government agencies, development partners, investors, agribusiness operators, equipment manufacturers, financial institutions, researchers, farmers’ associations and international participants to contribute meaningfully to the success of the event.
The organisers reaffirmed their commitment to delivering a world-class platform focused on advancing agricultural mechanisation, promoting export-quality production, facilitating technology transfer and attracting sustainable investments into Nigeria’s agricultural sector.
Speaking on the development, ACCI President, Chief Emeka Obegolu (SAN), said AGROMEQA Expo 2026 remains a strategic initiative aligned with national objectives of food security, economic diversification, job creation, value addition and export-led growth.
He described the expo as an important platform for driving agricultural transformation and enhancing Nigeria’s competitiveness in international markets.
With the theme, “Technology and Investment for Agro-Export,” the expo is expected to bring together stakeholders from across the agricultural ecosystem to showcase modern farming technologies, foster business-to-business engagements, facilitate investment partnerships and strengthen value-chain linkages.
The Chamber expressed appreciation to stakeholders for their understanding, patience and continued support, assuring prospective participants that preparations are ongoing to ensure a successful and impactful event.
It added that details on participation, exhibition opportunities, sponsorship packages and the programme of activities would be communicated in the coming months.
