The Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction has reiterated its commitment to collaborating with stakeholders to achieve the successful implementation of the One Humanitarian One Poverty Reduction System (OHOPRS), a national framework designed to streamline humanitarian interventions and poverty reduction programmes across the country.

The Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction, Bernard M. Doro, made this known on Wednesday while receiving a delegation from Interra Networks Limited, a digital inclusion-focused organisation seeking to partner with the ministry on the initiative.
Welcoming the proposal, the minister commended the organisation’s innovative approach but stressed that any partnership process would be transparent and competitive.

According to him, only the most qualified and capable partners would be selected to participate in the implementation of the programme.

OHOPRS is a unified national architecture designed to integrate humanitarian relief, social protection and long-term development initiatives into a single coordinated framework. The system is anchored on the principles of “One System, One Register, One Pathway” aimed at improving efficiency, accountability and impact in service delivery to vulnerable Nigerians.

The ministry said the initiative is expected to strengthen coordination among stakeholders and enhance efforts to reduce poverty and support sustainable development nationwide.
