INTERNATIONAL DAY OF CHARITY: Hope Aglow Charity Foundation makes Case for the Vulnerable

A Non-governmental Organization, Hope Aglow Charity Foundation has stressed the need for government at all levels to explore the spirit of compassion, generosity and solidarity to impact positively on the well beings of Nigerians towards alleviating the negative effect of subsidy removal in the country.

The Founder of the organization, Amb,Dr Mrs Cynthia Amaka Obiorah made the call at a forum to mark this year’s international day of Charity.

Dr Obiorah noted that charity in it various forms play a vital role in addressing the most pressing issues facing humanity which includes poverty, inequality, access to education and access to health care.

She observes with utmost expression of shared responsibility the need to promote social justice and uplift the most vulnerable in the society.

Dr Obiorah reiterated the commitment of the organization in celebrating individuals, communities, organizations of like minds who works tirelessly to alleviate suffering and improve human conditions in the country.

International Day of Charity is celebrated every 5th of September every year and the theme for this year’s celebration is”Sharing Compassion and Solidarity “which resonates deeply with the objectives of Hope Aglow Charity foundation in the face of global challenges
