GODY JEDDY AGBA URGES REA BOAD TO WORK IN SYNERGY

Honourable Minister of State, Power, Gody Jeddy Agba OFR has charged the Board members of the Rural Electrification Agency, (REA) on the need to work in harmony with the Management. Agba stated this while inaugurating the newly appointed Chairman, Hon. Danladi M. Kurfi on Tuesday, 4th of October, 2022 at the Hon. Minister’s Conference Room, Ministry of Power, 14 Zambezi Crescent, Maitama.
Speaking further, Agba expressed confidence in the ability of the new chairman who has been a two-term House of Representative member.
He said the new chairman will bring his wealth of experience to the board in the achievement of the Mandate of REA.
Responding, the Chairman, board of Rural Electrification Agency, Hon. Danladi M. Kurfi expressed his gratitude to the President, Commander-in-chief of the Armed forces of Nigeria, President Muhammadu Buhari, and the Hon. Minister for the confidence reposed on him to chair the board.

He assured the Hon. Minister that the board would continue to assess opportunities to acquire businesses in the key renewable energy areas across the nation in line with the mandate of REA.
Kurfi who replaces Abdulazeez Yar’adua who resigned to contest as a senator in the 2023 election concluded that the board is well positioned to meeting the stakeholders’ expectations by delivering long-term fundamental values in the power sector.
