AFCON 2023 QUALIFIERS: Nigeria gets fair draw

The Super Eagles of Nigeria and three time African Cup Of Nations winners has been given a decent draw ahead of the qualifiers.
The draw which was done in South Africa earlier today saw the West African side drawn in Group A alongside Sierra Leone, Guinea Bissau and either Sao Tome and Principe or Mauritius.
The competition will be held in Cote D’Ivoire next year and the Super Eagles who failed to pick a ticket to the Qatar 2022 World Cup knows they have to qualify for the competition.
Portuguese coach is set to be the next coach according to opinions from the grapevine and he knows he has a lot of work to do to prepare the boys for the qualifiers.
Qualifying is set to begin with two matches between 30 May and 14 June. Two more fixtures will follow in September, with the final two rounds in March next year.
CAF will announce the dates and schedule of fixtures in due course.
The 2023 Nations Cup is set to be held in Ivory Coast in June and July next year.
