NiDCOM, ICMPD Hold Diaspora Technical Exchange Programme in UK

The Three-Day Diaspora Technical Exchange Programme sponsored by the International Centre for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD), has started in London, United Kingdom.

The Programme has experts drawn from the African Foundation For Development (AFFORD), UK based consulting Organisation with firm bias on Diaspora-related issues.

Meanwhile, Delegates from the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission drawn from key departments and units are attending the Technical Exchange Programme to upscale skills and competences in understanding key Global concepts of Diaspora, Migration and Development Policy, with key thematic areas as diaspora mapping, diaspora motivations, diaspora remittances, diaspora engagement strategies, diaspora Investment, return and reintegration, among others.

The International Centre for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD), is an intergovernmental institution with legal status of an international organisation with a headquarters agreement with the Republic of Austria, Vietnam and a regional office in Abuja.
