The organisers of the National Conference on Domestic Eco-Tourism Exhibition in Nigeria (NCDET) have announced the postponement of the event earlier scheduled for July 28–29, 2026, with a new date fixed for September 21–22, 2026.

In a statement issued signed by Chief Dr. Obinna Ugochukwu Alexander Onyeocha, Managing Director of Everything Hospitality and Tourism Services Nigeria Limited, on Saturday. He said the conference, organised in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Arts, Culture and Creative Economy, will now hold at Kenam Suites, Abuja.

According to the organisers, the decision to reschedule the conference was necessitated by unforeseen circumstances and the need to ensure improved coordination and wider participation by stakeholders from the tourism, hospitality, arts, culture and creative industries.

The organisers expressed regret over any inconvenience the postponement may cause, while thanking partners, exhibitors, delegates and other stakeholders for their understanding, patience and continued support.

Despite the change in schedule, the organisers reaffirmed their commitment to promoting domestic eco-tourism as a key driver of sustainable economic growth, cultural preservation, environmental conservation and national development.

They noted that the conference will feature policy discussions, exhibitions, networking opportunities and strategic collaborations aimed at unlocking Nigeria’s immense tourism potential and strengthening the country’s domestic tourism ecosystem.

The statement also clarified that all registrations and participation arrangements already made for the conference remain valid for the new dates.

The organisers expressed optimism that the rescheduled conference would attract broader participation and deliver a more impactful outcome when it convenes on September 21 and 22, 2026, at Kenam Suites, Abuja.
