2nd edition Abuja Fun Walk holds Sept 14

The second maiden edition of the Abuja fun walk is slated to hold on the 14th of September 2019 at River Plate Park Wuse 2, Abuja.
The event which is a 5km Fun Walk course, would be a memorable one with a unique experience, Focusing on less speed and more of road walk, dance and fun with friends and family, Free blood test and other side attraction. The participants are going to be of different shapes, sizes, ages and speed,  a casual morning walker or an Olympic athlete.
The theme of this year event on Sickle Cell Awareness is ‘A WARRIORS WALK’  and its meant to raise money for medical and water bills for sickle cell warriors. The 2019 edition focus on placing a minimum of 30 people on a health insurance plan and bottle water supply.
One of the organizers, Mr Bama Micheal, who spoke on the event said, it will create an outdoor fun atmosphere, welcoming various industry professionals existing in the FCT; including children, students and individuals from different works of life, ‘So far we have had sponsorships from the Central Bank Of Nigeria, Sound Factory, Rotary Club and many other organizations.’, he said.
The event which is organized by Lifeline Africa Foundation,  an NGO with the mission to promote a healthy lifestyle, create fitness awareness amongst all participants, foster social inclusiveness and fun time among family and friends.
The activity is also expected to boost tourism, provide a networking base for entrepreneurs and business owners.
