2027: AA Candidate Aruoma Takes Nigeria-Poland Partnership Drive to Warsaw, Targets Jobs, Technology for Abia

WARSAW, POLAND — Ahead of the 2027 general elections, the Action Alliance (AA) candidate for Ikwuano/Umuahia Federal Constituency, RTN Chief Chidi Nkem-Aruoma, has intensified his international development drive, seeking strategic partnerships with Polish institutions to attract technology, skills development, trade and investment opportunities to his constituency and Abia State.
Aruoma, who is also a co-founder of the Nigeria-Poland Business Future, is currently in Poland on a working visit aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation between Nigeria and Poland, with particular emphasis on education, technology, trade and health tourism.
The political aspirant’s visit is part of what his team described as an effort to look beyond conventional political campaigns by pursuing practical partnerships capable of creating economic and human-capital opportunities for the people of Ikwuano/Umuahia.
As part of the engagement, Aruoma, accompanied by his European partner, Maciej Wójcik, visited the Łukasiewicz Research Network in Warsaw, where they were received by Dr. Marzena Walasik, Director of the Finance and Controlling Department.
The meeting focused on possible areas of cooperation that could support technology transfer, vocational skills development, education and entrepreneurship in Nigeria.
Dr. Walasik expressed the institute’s willingness to explore partnership opportunities with Aruoma’s foundation and schools and institutions in Ikwuano/Umuahia interested in acquiring modern technological skills.
According to her, potential areas of collaboration include waste-to-wealth technology, textiles, craftsmanship and other modern technological applications capable of equipping young people with practical skills and creating new economic opportunities.
The proposed collaboration could provide a platform for students, young entrepreneurs and institutions in the constituency to gain exposure to international expertise and modern approaches to technology and industrial development.
For Aruoma, the engagement represents a broader vision of constituency representation in which elected representatives are expected to use their networks to attract partnerships, investment, knowledge and opportunities to their communities.
He said international partnerships were necessary to complement government efforts in addressing unemployment, skills gaps and the challenges confronting young people.
The AA candidate is also seeking to deepen cooperation in trade, education and health tourism, areas he believes could open new opportunities for Abia and Nigeria through stronger Nigeria-Poland relations.
Wójcik, Aruoma’s partner in Europe, commended him for travelling to Poland to pursue partnerships that could benefit his constituents.
He described the initiative as evidence of Aruoma’s commitment to seeking international opportunities for the development of his people.
The Warsaw engagement is expected to form part of a wider Nigeria-Poland partnership initiative aimed at connecting Nigerian businesses, educational institutions and communities with Polish technology, expertise and investment opportunities.
For Ikwuano/Umuahia, the initiative adds an international dimension to the 2027 political conversation, with Aruoma positioning his candidacy around development partnerships, technology transfer, youth empowerment and economic opportunity, rather than politics alone.
