Sen. Hope Uzodimma, the Governor of Imo State, on the eve of Christmas gave a directive that Appointees should go back to their various LGA with open hands to embrace new members wishing to join the ruling Party. “our Party is big enough to accommodate everyone, APC doesn’t belong to one person”, Senator Uzodimma stated.

On the back of this expanded exco meeting, the State Appointees from Isu LGA met to create a road map towards actualising the directives of their Boss.

Hon. Commissioner for Agriculture, Dr. Lambert Orisakwe whom’s residence in Isu Njaba was the meeting point, stated that, “it is the will of Governor Uzodimma that we welcome new people to our Party and I agree with this because the more we are the more we can achieve”. We will speak to our friends in other Parties and even those who do not belong to any party yet, we will be delighted to welcome them all and work with them”.

Also speaking to our reporter is Barr. Steve Nwoke from Umundugba Isu (Special Adviser on Legal, Government House); “it is urgent we act on the directives of our Governor and that is why we had to meet immediately to discuss strategies for Membership drive. We have a lot of Members already but we do not wish to rest on our laurels, moreover there are many people who have now seen the commitment of APC in Imo State under Gov. Uzodimma; all those people will be encouraged to officially join us”.

Hon. Cllr. Celia Osakwe-Hibbert who is from Amurie-Omanze in ISU, supported her colleagues saying, “Our Party under Sen. Hope Uzodimma here in Imo State has come to recover the fate/hopes of Imolites, to reconstruct our roads and amenities and to rehabilitate the broken system in our state; therefore I agree with my Boss and my colleagues that we must allow anyone who wants to join our Party to do so because that means more people to help carry out the 3R vision which will heal our State.

The second leg of this meeting is slated to take place within a couple of days, with Hon. Kenneth Ukah,  the IMC Chairman present.
