WORLD CUP ROUNDUP: Morocco stuns title favourites and Spain held by Germany

Morocco recorded a shock 2-0 win against Belgium in their Qatar 2022 World Cup Group F encounter.

Second half goals from Andelhamid Sabiri and Zakaria Aboukhlal secured Morocco’s third ever win at the World Cup and Africa’s second win at the tournament.
Morocco had played a goalless draw against Croatia in their opener and needed a win to give themselves hope of qualification into the knockout stages.

The victory takes the African giants to four points and levelled with Croatia who recorded a 3-1 win over Canada.
Elsewhere, Germany played a one-all draw against Spain in Sunday’s 2022 World Cup game.

The goals were scored by substitutes from both sides .
Alvaro Morata had put the Spanish side infront in the 63rd minute after coming from the bench for Ferran Torres before the Germans got a crucial equalizer courtesy of a Niclas Fullkrug goal in the 83rd minute to salvage a point for the Germans.
This result completely throws Group E open as Japan has 3 points with 0 Goal Difference, Spain has 4 points and 7 Goal Difference, Costa Rica has 3 points and -6 Goal Difference) and Germany are bottom with 1 point and-1 Goal Difference.
