We are investigating death of Ifeanyi- Nigerian Navy Says

The Nigerian Navy, says it is investigating the circumstances leading to death of Mr. Ifeanyi Richard Onumaegbu, a civilian staff of the Ministry of Defence, attached to the Laboratory Department of the Nigerian Navy Reference Hospital, NNRH, Ojo, Lagos.

Late Ifeanyi’s lifeless body was found in his office four days after he was involved in an altercation with a civilian lady and some of its personnel in Navy Town barracks

The Nigerian Navy, in a statement released on Thursday April 11 through A Adams – Aliu, on behalf of the Naval Staff, disclosed that all suspected personnel and the civilian lady, were currently under close custody.

Whilst stating that it has facilitated the movement of the deceased body to a reputable government hospital in Lagos, based on the request of the family for an autopsy, the Nigerian Navy, assured that necessary measures were being taken to unravel cause of Onumaegbu’s death.
