Unical VC set to complete abandoned lecture hall

The Vice Chancellor of the University of Calabar, Prof. Florence Banku Obi is set to complete the ‘abandoned’ lecture pavilion which has about 500 seats in the university.

The twin lecture pavilion was part of the 2013 needs assessment projects of Tetfund which was abandoned about four years ago.

Prof Obi who recently gave assurance that there will be no abandoned project under her watch while receiving a Team from the Cash Management Department of the Federal Ministry of Finance has stayed true to her words again thereby matching them with tremendous action.
The building is currently undergoing an intense facelift wherein with the construction of balcony and drainage, access road, car lot, electrical wiring and many more.

By the time this building is completed and put into use, the issue of limited lecture venues in the university might have been solved to an extent.
