The Special Adviser to the Governor on Diaspora Affairs Hon Celia Osakwe- Hibbett has challenged everyone to commit to a radical thought process of every citizen bringing about the required change in the land.

Speaking in a room filled up with mostly women and men in their 30’s, On Saturday the 3rd of October, Hon Celia joined a panelist of 4 at a very successful event put together by ‘Bedrock Initiative’ to commemorate the 60th anniversary of Nigeria’s Independence.

In the event the which focused on how young people can drive change in Imo State and Nigeria at large, the SA Diaspora discussed some of the reasons why Diasporans should commit to helping with Home Development. She stated that she “wants to see a future with women equally at the helm of affairs, a future of people living with disabilities incorporated, a future where there is unrivalled inclusion and diversity”. Only then can we make the kind of progress we desperately need.

The room filled up with excitement as the conversation became intense; one attendee was heard saying, “we need more time for this event. 3 hours isn’t enough to discuss the way forward for Nigeria!
