TCN Announces Planned Maintenance on Gombe-Damaturu-Molai 330kV Line

The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has announced a planned maintenance exercise on the Gombe-Damaturu-Molai 330kV Transmission Line 1.
According to TCN, the maintenance is scheduled for Saturday, September 26, 2026, between 10:00am and 2:00pm.
The company said the exercise is necessary to enable its contractors to carry out work on the Power Line Carrier (PLC) and rehabilitate the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system on the transmission line.
TCN explained that the maintenance will temporarily affect electricity supply to parts of Yobe State, as the Yola Electricity Distribution Company (YEDC) will be unable to off-take electricity to customers in Damaturu and surrounding areas during the four-hour exercise.
The transmission company appealed for the understanding of electricity consumers in the affected areas, while apologising for the inconvenience the planned maintenance may cause.
The notice was signed by the Management of the Transmission Company of Nigeria on September 25, 2026.
