South African Embassy showers gifts on Abuja Jabamah 2018 participants

The South African Embassy has showered gifts on participants and awardees at the Abuja Jabamah 2018 on Friday November 16.

The event which was organised by Ambassador Ikeh Uko and co-sponsored by the Embassy, was to show appreciation to 100 individuals, organisations and countries that has made contributions in promoting culture and tourism.

The South Africa Embassy contingents were at the Abuja Jabamah 2018 awards which took place on November 16, 2018.

The Trade Relations Manager, West of South African Embassy, Mr Mohammed Tanko Kwajaffa , who led the South Africa contingent said they also stayed back next day to share gifts to participants in the on- going 11th INAC Exhibition as a show of solidarity and love between Nigerians and South Africa.

President Cyril Ramaphosa is the current president of South Africa which is located at the southernmost tip of the African continent with three Capitals namely Cape Town, Pretoria, and Bloemfontein.

It is marked by several distinct ecosystems. Inland safari destination Kruger National Park is populated by big game.

The currency of South Africa is called Rand and points of interest include: Kruger National Park, Cape of Good Hope, Table Mountain.

Some of the South African tribes are the Zulus who believe that they are descendants of a chief from the Congo region.

The Xhosa is the second most popular South African tribe after the Zulu.

Others include Sotho, Tswana, Pedi, Venda, Ndebele, Tsonga.
