Shippers Council To Hold Airfreight Summit In Kano

The Nigerian Shippers’ Council (NSC) has concluded plans to organise a one day “AirFreight Summit” in collaboration with Kano State Government on Thursday May 23.
The programme scheduled to hold on Thursday May 23, at the Coronation Hall of Kano State Government House, will have in attendance the Governor of Kano State, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, the Minister of Transportation, Rt.Hon. Rotimi Ameachi and the Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Shippers’ Council Barr. Hassan Bello.
Statement by the NSC, promoters of the Inland Dry Ports (IDPs) and Truck Transit Parks (TTPs) across the country, said the summit include a keynote address by Governor Abdullahi Ganduje and paper presentations from stakeholders in the Agro-allied commodities sector, Airfreight business, Airliners, Customs, Nigerian Export Promotion Council (NEPC) and other relevant stakeholders.
The statement signed by Mr. Bala Saleh Assistant Director (legal) NSC said the summit has as its theme: “Diversification of the Nigerian Economy: Exploring the potentials of airfreighting of agro-allied commodities-Kano state in Focus.”
He also noted that the summit will conclude with a visit to Kano Airport Cargo terminal by officials of the Nigerian Shippers’ Council and the Kano state government.
