Rotary Club of Abuja, Three Arms Zone Installs Pioneer Leadership, Sets Agenda for Service-Driven Impact

The Rotary Club of Abuja, Three Arms Zone has officially installed its pioneer leadership at a vibrant Presidential Night ceremony in Abuja, marking a defining moment in the club’s emergence within the Rotary movement.

The well-attended event drew Rotarians, distinguished guests, and stakeholders who gathered to witness the formal induction of the club’s charter executives and celebrate its entry into humanitarian service.

Delivering his remarks, Charter President, Sir Uche Nwosu (Omekaodinma), described the inauguration as a landmark achievement, recalling that the club was conceived on July 14, 2025, at the National Assembly Complex and later chartered on August 22, 2025, with 32 founding members.

He explained that the club’s identity—built around Nigeria’s Executive, Legislature, and Judiciary—positions it as “The Seat of Government,” providing a unique platform to drive impactful service within the nation’s leadership ecosystem.

Nwosu commended the Rotary Club of Abuja, Maitama, for its sponsorship, and acknowledged the contributions of District Governor Rotarian Joy Nky Okoro and other key figures whose support ensured the club’s successful takeoff.

Highlighting its early achievements, he noted that the club has already implemented interventions focused on empowering women and youths, supporting maternal health at the National Assembly Clinic, and enhancing Rotary visibility through public installations.

He reaffirmed the club’s commitment to expanding its humanitarian footprint through innovation, collaboration, and sustained community engagement.

A keynote address delivered by Professor Uche Joe Uwaleke underscored the role of the capital market in national development.

He advocated improved financial literacy and increased participation in investment opportunities as pathways to economic growth.

The event also featured renewed pledges by members to uphold Rotary’s guiding principle of service, with a shared commitment to advancing community development initiatives across the Federal Capital Territory and beyond.

The Rotary Foundation was established in 1928, Her core value is Intergrity, leadership and Fellowship. The name Rotary originated from the early practice of rotating meetings among members’ offices.
