It was an online/virtual capacity engagement training workshop for registered senior citizens under the NSCC Continuing Engagement Bureau Program (CEB).
The participants who comprised retired professionals, Technocrats, Media Practitioners and members of cooperative societies were trained virtually on; Continuing Social Engagement, Introduction to Entrepreneurship and Idealization, a Practical Guide to Entrepreneurial Journey, Entrepreneurial Skills and Financial Literacy among other topics.
The training which lasted three days empowered the participants 60+ on how to become more productive in their chosen sectors, skill-set and expertise where they have comparative advantage.
Facilitated for NSCC by the Centre for Entrepreneurship and wealth creation, it held through NSCC’s Learning Management System on the Continuing Engagement Interactive Portal, first of its kind in Nigeria.
The NSCC Continuing Engagement Bureau Program launched in 2023 captures and aggregates the skills, talent, experience, interests and resource base of retirees from the formal and informal sectors of the nation’s economy, connecting them to opportunities for their continued meaningful contributions to society, through volunteerism or paid employment.
