NSC DG to Meet Nigeria Mixed Martial Arts Federation Stakeholders in Abuja

The National Sports Commission has scheduled a strategic meeting with the leadership and stakeholders of the Nigeria Mixed Martial Arts Federation as part of efforts to advance the growth and administration of Mixed Martial Arts in the country.
According to a statement issued by the Federations and Elite Athletes Department of the Commission, the meeting is slated for Friday, June 5, 2026, at the Media Centre of the Moshood Abiola National Stadium by 9:00 a.m.
The invitation, addressed to the President of the federation, also extends to board members and other key stakeholders within the Mixed Martial Arts community.
The Commission disclosed that discussions at the meeting will centre on the development, administration, and overall progress of Mixed Martial Arts in Nigeria, alongside other issues of mutual interest aimed at strengthening the sport and enhancing its future prospects.
The NSC noted that the engagement forms part of ongoing initiatives to reposition sports development in Nigeria through collaboration with stakeholders across various sporting federations.
The statement emphasized the importance of active participation from all invited stakeholders to ensure productive deliberations that will contribute to the advancement of Mixed Martial Arts in the country.
